Qatar Endurance Racing Team has won the final round of Superstock Category in the 24H Le Mans. This achievement is proudly added to the chain of achievements scored by QMMF president Nasser bin Khalifa al-Attiyah.

The QERT team, composed of Anthony West, Alex Cudlin, Mashel al-Naimi and Saed al-Sulaiti, finished on the top spot of the podium in the Superstock category and fourth overall. They had qualified seventh overall and produced a strong performance in the race which was held on Saturday.

QMMF President al-Attiyah was extremely happy about his team having achieved this remarkable result. “Such an achievement is a real indicator of the team’s ability to achieve the best results on the international level, and there is no doubt that the Qatar Endurance Racing Team now has the experience that would inevitably lead the team to achieve more for Qatar, which is our utmost objective behind our participation in these events.”

Al-Attiyah said that the performance of the QMMF racing team, headed by the team manager Rashid al-Sulaiti, was a great team effort. He said that the team put in a strong performance right from the start of the race in harsh weather conditions which made it hard for anyone to maintain a consistent performance. But the QMMF team was up to the task and pulled it off.

Al-Attiyah said that the main reason for such successes is the QMMF management which wants to achieve more victories for Qatar as a team. He also added that this achievement will reflect positively on the team and that QMMF name will now be more prominent in the world of motorsport.

QMMF Team Manager Rashid al-Sulaiti expressed his happiness at the performance of the team members Anthony West, Alex, Mashel al-Naimi and Saed al-Sulaiti. They put in a commendable performance for the whole 24 hours and achieved this great result for Qatar.

About the race, al-Sulaiti said that at the start of the race, till the eight hour, the team did well and then fell back into second place. But in the early hours of Sunday were able to get back into first place. Al-Sulaiti said that it was a strong field with 32 teams participating in this round. The Junior 72 team was considered to be the strongest rival to the QMMF team but the Qatar’s team’s experience and applications of the plans and strategies brought a well deserving win, informed al-Sulaiti.
