HE the Foreign Minister, Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, yesterday highlighted Qatar’s keenness to create global partnerships in the context of achieving its National Vision (QNV) 2030.
In a press statement made on the occasion of hosting a delegation of 15 Qatari students and three supervisors at the Japanese Tohoku University’s Qatar Science Centre, HE al-Attiyah said this cultural exchange comes to enhance the Qatari capacities, encourage young people to be more creative and empower them in global areas.
He expressed hope that the partnership between the State of Qatar and the University of Tohoku would establish an advanced learning environment to serve the people of Qatar and prepare a new generation of engineers and researchers in order to shift from consumption to production.
For his part, Minister of Education, and Higher Education and Secretary General of the Supreme Education Council, HE Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi, praised this visit, stressing the importance of scientific and cultural exchanges in the educational field.
