Last Wednesday (November 25) Doha and its surroundings received heavy rains after a long spell of drought. The welcome downpour also revealed that several of Qatar’s buildings and roads were designed only for fair weather. While many roads were flooded, even some iconic structures sprung a leak. The government, determined to bring the culprits to book, has ordered a probe.
