Qatar has commended the efforts of the international mediation team led by Algeria, which resulted in the signing of the peace agreement between the parties to the conflict in Mali.
Qatar deemed the agreement as a balanced deal that would benefit Mali and the region as a whole, a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry said yesterday. The statement stressed on the need to ensure the success of the agreement with the support of the international community, adding that Qatar would support all parties to achieve this goal.
Qatar called for the implementation of the agreement and urged all groups that have not signed it, to join and deal with it positively, in order to preserve the national unity and territorial integrity as well as to achieve stability and prosperity of Mali.
