Nine out of 10 participants in a survey agree that Qatar National Day is a good way to celebrate the country’s achievements, the findings reveal.
Agency 222, an integrated advertising and communications agency, has conducted research that further investigates what Qatar National Day means to the country’s residents.
For the third consecutive year, Agency 222 has run an online survey that saw residents of Qatar provide insight into the sentiments that surround the National Day.
The survey demonstrates that this important day of national pride is becoming of increasing significance to expatriates living in Qatar as well as Qatari nationals, with nine out of 10 participants agreeing that the National Day demonstrates people’s love for Qatar.
The research also highlights the importance of Qatar’s flag as a symbol of Qatar National Day. The Qatar flag is viewed as a symbol of pride, patriotism, freedom, peace, love, history, tradition and unity among Qataris and expatriates alike.
When it comes to the day’s celebrations, most participants in the online survey have mentioned that they choose to celebrate Qatar National Day by attending the various festivities around Doha and by decorating their cars and homes with the Qatari flag and colours. Other preferred ways to celebrate the occasion include the National Day parade and fireworks display.
The aerial show and military displays are also extremely popular among participants and this is confirmed by the huge number of people who turned out this National Day to watch the show and make this year’s celebrations another resounding success.
