Qatar exhibition yesterday.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani yesterday inaugurated the 10th edition of Milipol Qatar 2014 exhibition for internal state
security.
A number of ministers and senior security officials from neighbouring countries attended the opening ceremony at the Doha Exhibition Centre.
The Prime Minister toured the exhibition after the inauguration. He noted the strong participation from global companies which offered their latest technology in the field of internal
security.
The Prime Minster stressed the growing levels of co-operation between Qatar’s Interior ministry and France in organising the Milipol Qatar exhibition.
Milipol is held alternatively in Doha and Paris every two years.
Transport Minister HE Jassem bin Saif Ahmed al-Sulaiti said this year’s exhibition had much more to offer than its previous editions.
Major General Saad bin Jassim al- Khulaifi expressed happiness that there was a significant growth in the total space occupied by the exhibitors at this year’s expo compared to the previous
editions.
This year’s edition has 261 companies participating from 36 countries.
Qatar signed four agreements, two each with France and Azerbaijan, to co-operate on internal security initiatives on the sidelines of the exhibition.
