FM gets message from Singapore
HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah received a written message from his Singapore counterpart K Shanmugam dealing with bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and means of promoting them. The message was received by HE the Assistant Foreign Minister for International Co-operation Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani during a meeting yesterday with Singapore’s Ambassador to Qatar Wong Kok Bonn.
GCC military ties discussed
HE the Minister of State for Defence Affairs Major General Hamad bin Ali al-Attiyah met in Doha yesterday with Commander of the Peninsula Shield Forces Major General Hassan Hamza al-Shahri who is currently visiting Qatar. Talks during the meeting dealt with matters of mutual concern that serve the drive of military co-operation among GCC states. The meeting was attended by Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen al-Ghanim and a number of ranking armed forces officers.
Meetings with US, Japanese envoys
HE the Minister of Youth and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali met in Doha yesterday with the US Ambassador to Qatar, Dana Shell Smith. Talks during the meeting dealt with topics of common interest.
Meanwhile, HE Assistant Foreign Minister for International Co-operation Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani yesterday met separately with US Ambassador to Qatar Dana Shell Smith and Japanese Ambassador to Qatar Shingo Tsuda. The meetings reviewed bilateral relations and means of enhancing and developing aspects of co-operation, in addition to issues of mutual concern.
