The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has approved the establishment of a number of new international and private schools, the Al Arab daily reported yesterday. Sources indicated that the new schools would come up in areas such as Al Khor and Al Wakrah among others. According to the report, the SEC had received some 90 requests to set up new schools. However, only 26 of these have fulfilled the necessary SEC requirements.
