The Ramadan Festival of Katara - the Cultural Village, “Qur’an and Astronomy”, continues to attract more visitors with its various activities and events.

The Space Ship, one of the key attractions, has managed to attract around 400 visitors a day from all age groups and different nationalities.

This highly popular activity is being held every evening at the Amphitheatre from 8pm until midnight. It gives visitors an opportunity to experience what it feels like to be in outer space.

The Space Ship employs special sound effects and 3D technology to simulate a real space trip for visitors.

Many visitors from different walks of life and background have expressed great joy and excitement at taking part in the activity, describing the Space Ship as a “wonderful, unmatched experience”.

Meanwhile, Katara is giving telescope enthusiasts and other visitors the opportunity to enjoy the night sky and view the stars through eight telescopes stationed by the Amphitheatre.

The equipment can be used by Katara visitors under the supervision of qualified specialists who help the users and answer their queries on related matters.

In addition to the Space Ship and telescope show, a wide range of other activities and programmes is being held at Katara as part of its Ramadan Festival.
