His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has ordered an emergency humanitarian airlift to Venezuela after two earthquakes struck the capital, Caracas, the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) said Friday.The operation includes six aircraft delivering emergency assistance to those affected by the disaster. The aid effort is being coordinated by QFFD in cooperation with the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the Qatar Red Crescent Society.According to QFFD, the relief supplies include family tents, field hospitals and shelter materials aimed at providing emergency accommodation for displaced families and meeting urgent humanitarian needs in the aftermath of the earthquakes.
