General Administration of Endowments inaugurates new investment project

 

 

 

The General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs inaugurated a new endowment investment project, which is a furnished apartment building by the benefactor, Saad bin Mohammed al-Kaabi, on Wednesday evening. Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the benefactor has stipulated that the endowment should be for the service of the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah. It is dedicated for establishing centres for teaching the Holy Qur’an, encouraging science students to learn the Book of God and studying the Sunnah, printing and distributing the Holy Qur’an and translating it's meanings and books, organising symposia, conferences and competitions, and coordinating with the relevant official and civil bodies to implement joint programmes in this regard.In a statement, Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed al-Thani, director general of the General Administration of Endowments, stated that the objective is to keep pace with the development plans in the country to achieve sustainable growth of endowments.
