The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change's Department of Land Protection has carried out a field campaign to remove encroachments in violation of Law No 10 of 1987 concerning public and private state property, in the central region (Umm Al Tin area).The operation was carried out with active participation from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and the State Property Department at the Ministry of Municipality.The campaign involved removing all encroachments on the site, which had been exploited in violation of the laws and regulations in force. Specialised teams monitored the violating site and prepared detailed reports on its condition before carrying out the removal in accordance with approved legal procedures.This step comes as part of the ministry's ongoing efforts to safeguard state property and protect terrestrial environments from encroachments and illegal practices. The removal operation was coordinated jointly between the relevant authorities to ensure swift action against any violations affecting state land or harming terrestrial ecosystems.The ministry indicated that these field campaigns are part of a comprehensive action plan aimed at confronting all forms of encroachment on state property and protecting terrestrial areas from unregulated activities that could affect the ecosystem or distort the general landscape.The ministry emphasised the importance of upholding the rule of law and deterring violators through cooperation among ministries and relevant authorities. It also urged all to comply with the laws and regulations governing the use of the lands and to refrain from establishing any facilities, sites, or activities without the necessary permits.The ministry confirmed that any violations will be dealt with in accordance with the law, in order to protect the public interest and the environment.
