The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) is organising a series of recycling workshops as part of the summer camp by the Qatar Chess Association (QCA).
The initiative by the Environmental Awareness Section of the ministry’s Public Relations and Communications Department aims to instil environmental concepts in children by introducing them to the importance of recycling paper, cardboard, plastic, and electronic waste, and transforming it from an environmental burden into innovative and usable creative models.
The workshops seek to open new horizons for children to unleash their imagination through engaging and interactive educational activities presented in an enjoyable and stimulating manner.
This contributes to fostering their spirit of innovation and linking environmental values to their daily behaviour.
At the conclusion of the workshops, a presentation will showcase a number of models and structures made by the children themselves, reflecting the direct positive impact of the activity and how well they absorbed the environmental concepts presented.
