Tree planting marks Qatari-Cuban ties

A total of 32 seedlings suitable for the local environment were planted on the occasion, signifying the 32 years of diplomatic ties between Qatar and Cuba
The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Public Parks Department, in co-operation with the Cuban Embassy and the Cuban Hospital, carried out an event at the Airport Park, as part of the initiative to plant one million trees. A total of 32 seedlings suitable for the local environment were planted on the occasion, signifying the 32 years of diplomatic ties between Qatar and Cuba, a statement from the ministry said. Cuban ambassador Oscar Leon Gonzalez, Cuban Hospital executive director Mohamed al-Marri, Public Parks Department assistant director Mohamed Ibrahim al-Sada, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Public Works Authority, and a number of officials and engineers of the Public Parks Department and the Parks Department in Doha Municipality were present.
