Ministry of Labour organizes training workshop for volunteers with disabilities

The Department of Qualifying Skills Development at the Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Qatar Career Development Center, organized a training workshop on Tuesday for volunteers with disabilities who are participating in National Day events.The workshop was part of the "Empower Ability" program, designed to showcase the talents of people with disabilities through comprehensive training programs, in addition to supporting them in their career paths, and preparing them to enter the job market. This initiative is part of the Ministry's efforts to qualify the national workforce, which includes enabling people with disabilities and preparing them professionally, supporting them in obtaining suitable job opportunities that ensure their independence, in addition to integrating them into the job market in companies and institutions of the private sector.Acting Director of Qatar Career Development Center Saad Abdulla Al Kharji said that the Center is pleased to launch a new edition of the "Empower Ability" program, given the profound impact it has had on the lives of young people with learning disabilities in its previous editions.He added that their aim in this program is not only to provide participants with essential skills and experiences but also to enhance their sense of belonging to an inclusive work environment that embraces them, showcasing their tremendous abilities to contribute to the economy and society, pointing out that these goals are achieved through collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and partners in the country.
