Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Ministry of Labour (MoL) on Tuesday launched the 2026 Qatar Nationalisation Award for the Private Sector. The Award recognises institutions that excel in recruitment, training, support for nationalisation efforts, talent retention policies, the provision of attractive and sustainable work environments, and the preparation of qualified national leaders.Individual awards are granted to the most distinguished national talent in the private sector, based on job level, years of experience, leadership excellence, competence and emerging national talent, as well as professional initiative and innovation.The sectoral enterprise awards include nine winners of the "Leading Institution Workforce Award", granted to the best establishment in each targeted private sector industry, based on a comprehensive evaluation of the relevant nationalisation criteria, namely the recruitment and development of national cadres.The core institutional awards include seven winners. It celebrate outstanding achievements in National talent recruitment and employment, Graduate on boarding programmes (university and secondary), Empowering Qatari women, Flexible work patterns, Preparing future leaders, and Developing leadership skills.Individual awards are granted to Qatari citizens in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the labor market, based on job level and years of experience. They are divided into two categories: core awards and sectoral awards. The sectoral individual awards include three winners, receiving the Leadership Excellence Award, the Outstanding Competence Award, and the Future National Talent Award.The core individual awards include three winners: the Outstanding Sponsored Student Award, the Pioneering Qatari Woman Award, and the Professional Initiative and Innovation Award.The eligibility criteria for enterprise awards include holding a valid commercial registration number in Qatar, submitting the enterprise registration file and type of ownership, and being listed and registered on the "Kawader" and Istamer platforms. The enterprise must employ Qatari staff who are not owners, operate within the private sector, be subject to nationalisation law, and have no existing bans. The evaluation criteria are based on achievements from January to December 2025.Regarding the eligibility criteria for individual awards, the nominee must be a Qatari employee working in the private sector and remain in their position until the date of the results announcement.
