SEC, a kids' hotspot for edutainment, games

Educational activities at the Summer Entertainment City (SEC), particularly ‘Kids Driving School’, continue to attract many young visitors, teaching them the basics of driving and being safe.
 “The response from the public has been positive; children learn about traffic rules and regulations, which they can be familiar with when they start to drive (at the right age),” QSports business development manager Aya Kassab told Gulf Times.“Children are really happy and spending a lot of time inside the 'driving school', and they return (to play) again and enjoy,” she said, adding that "it is similar to the usual driving schools for adults".

The ‘Kids Driving School’, which is part of SEC at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, enables children to have an actual feel of how it is to drive in the city and, more importantly, road safety. Supervised by professionals, the young drivers also need to follow legitimate street signs within the area. The driving school is among the numerous edutainment activities and games at the 29,000sqm facility at SEC. It is organised by QSports, in partnership with the Qatar National Tourism Council, as part of the ‘Summer in Qatartarget="_blank"'>
