Almana Motors Company, the exclusive distributor of Ford and Lincoln in Qatar, has launched the all-new Ford F-150 Raptor at its showroom at Airport Road. The latest model of the legendary performance truck, a member of the F-150 range and known as the best-selling pickup in America annually for the past 40 years, is sure to be a big draw among drivers in the country, the company said in a statement.Citing the vehicle’s raw power, performance, durability, stability and the latest in-car technologies, Almana Motors Company general manager Ian Partridge said: “The Ford F-150 range is hugely popular for so many reasons. You can’t lead the class like the F-150 for so many years, including the past 40 in the US, without exceeding driver and segment expectations.” “The F-150 Raptor is a true testament to the production line of Ford and its consistency in producing great vehicles,” he noted. Saying the vehicle will be popular among Ford customers, Partridge said that they have already sold two shipments before the new model has even reached their showroom. The aluminium-bodied full-performance 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is sure to set the tone in the truck segment, thanks largely to the new High Output 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine with 421 PS and 678 Nm of Torque, driven by an all-new 10 speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability. The Raptor’s power, capability and efficiency are enhanced by the fact it weighs 200kg less than its predecessor, thanks to the high-strength steel frame. The vehicle’s new Terrain Management System, complete with six selectable modes and the 3-in Racing Shox that create more suspension travel, gives the driver the capability to take out a whole range of terrain challenges.In-car advancements have also been made to assist the driver with class-exclusive features including a 360-degree camera with split-view display, 400-watt power outlets inside the cab, TORSEN® front differential, LED headlights and side view mirror spotlights, and remote tailgate release.“The upgraded features on the all-new 2017 F-150 Raptor, including more than 200kg reduced weight, more suspension and an enhanced Terrain Management System, will make this versatile class-leading truck even more popular among our knowledgeable loyal customers and drivers looking for something new,” Partridge said.
