Qatar, Egypt and Turkiye have condemned the continuing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, in particular the targeting of healthcare facilities and medical infrastructure and the civilian casualties that have followed, including women and children — a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
In a joint statement, the three mediating countries stressed that Israel must comply with all its obligations under international law and fully uphold its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, affirming that the continuation of these violations constitutes a breach of the agreement and undermines efforts to implement its second phase.
That warning follows the announcement by Hamas and the Palestinian factions of their acceptance of the roadmap, particularly the provision on the confinement of weapons. The mediators cautioned that the violations threaten the path towards de-escalation and deepen the suffering of civilians across the strip.
They renewed their call for full protection of civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian personnel, and for guaranteeing the unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance and medical supplies throughout Gaza. (QNA)
