Ehsan launches council of elders' summer program in collaboration with youth centers
The Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) - under the Qatar Foundation for Social Work - announced the launch of the summer program of the Council of Elders in cooperation with youth centers.The summer program includes a diverse range of cultural, social, recreational, and awareness-raising activities targeting various age groups. This aims to strengthen communication and interaction among community members and reflects the importance of partnerships with youth centers in providing high-quality programs that meet the needs and aspirations of participants.The Council of Elders explained that the program is an extension of its mission to support purposeful community initiatives and enhance the role of elders in passing on their experiences and authentic values to younger generations. The Council commended the fruitful cooperation with youth centers and the resources they provide, which contribute to the success of the various events and activities.The program is scheduled to run throughout the summer, featuring a variety of events, workshops, and meetings designed to enrich the participants' intellectual and social experiences and reinforce values of belonging and intergenerational communication.This program comes as part of the efforts of the Ehsan Center to support community initiatives, where the Council of Elders stands out as one of its purposeful initiatives within the framework of its efforts to promote community participation and provide a supportive environment that contributes to developing skills and investing leisure time during the summer vacation.
