His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received phone calls yesterday from Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, Iraqi President Dr Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis. During the calls, the leaders affirmed their solidarity with Qatar and their deep concern over the Israeli attack on the city of Doha, saying it was a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms and a serious threat to the security of the State of Qatar and the countries of the region. The leaders stressed that everyone must work to achieve a permanent ceasefire, rather than destroying the paths leading to it. For his part, His Highness the Amir affirmed that Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and territorial integrity, adding that this treacherous attack had complete disregard for the lives of innocent people and a serious violation that undermines security and stability in the region and the world. During the calls, His Highness also expressed his thanks to the leaders for their sincere feelings and appreciated solidarity with the State of Qatar and its people.
