Rajagiri Public School (RPS) celebrated the World Book Day on April 30. With an objective to promote reading among students and staff, the Department of English has organised DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) Period. The entire community on the campus -- the management members, teachers, students, visitors, supporting staff, drivers, securities all were engaged in reading by putting off all their works or activities. Special reading materials were prepared both in English and regional languages for those who didn’t have a book with them to read. Students dressed as chapmen moved around the campus distributing reading materials to those who required. The principal said that it is planned to make it an occasional practice.
