A Greater Adjutant stork flies in search of food in the flood waters on the outskirts of Guwahati yesterday. The Greater Adjutant stork is one of the most endangered birds, distributed in the plains of the Brahmaputra valley of Assam. Its diet includes carrions, fish, frogs, reptiles, crustaceans, large insects, even young ducks and other birds.
