A fisherman uses a net to catch fish in Budhabudhi village in Morigaon district near Guwahati, in the northeastern state of Assam yesterday. As the water level in the Brahmaputra River starts to recede, villagers living nearby take to fishing. Although fish are caught throughout the year in Assam, catching rates are highly seasonal and are related to the flood and water levels.
