A major fire raged through a slum in the Bandra area of Mumbai yesterday night where the child actors of Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire” used to stay. Apart from two people taken to hospital with breathing problems due to the smoke, no other casualties were reported in the fire in Gareeb Nagar slum, adjacent to the Bandra railway station, police said. As the fire was near the railway station, the Central Railway has partially curtailed operations on its Harbour Line.
