LuLu Hypermarket continues its support for Qatar Cancer Society

LuLu Hypermarket continues to support Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) for the fourth year in a row, believing in the social responsibility towards raising awareness of cancer and promoting a culture of early detection, as well as supporting patients.LuLu Hypermarket Abu Sidra Branch in co-operation with QCS for the first time, organised the 'Pink Kitchen' event in the presence of media figure Sheikha al-Mannai, by presenting a healthy cooking show to spread awareness about the importance of food in preventing diseases, especially cancer.Mona Ashknani, general manager of QCS, said: “Raising awareness of cancer and ways to prevent it by adopting a healthy lifestyle is one of the most prominent goals of QCS and an essential pillar in its mission. It seeks to avoid cancer and to control its burden in Qatar by working with our partners to educate the community, and support, empower and advocate for individuals living with cancer and to engage in professional development and scientific research in the field of cancer.”She thanked the officials of LuLu Hypermarket Qatar for their continuous support for the cause of charity and commented that they always do their best to support the awareness efforts led by QCS in its ongoing fight against cancer which needs permanent co-operation among all institutions and authorities.
