Amir calls for dialogue to end Ukraine-Russia crisis

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani held Monday a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.During the call, they discussed the latest developments on the Ukrainian arena, especially with regards to the crisis with Russia and the need to end it through dialogue and diplomatic means.His Highness the Amir, during the call, called again on all parties to exercise restraint, resolve the dispute through dialogue and diplomatic methods, settle international disputes by peaceful means, and not to take any action that would lead to further escalation.His Highness the Amir also renewed Qatar's stance calling for the need to respect Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders, and to adhere to the United Nations Charter and the well-established principles of international law, including obligations under the Charter to settle international disputes by peaceful means.
