Maritime vessels' safety measures inspected

An inspection and control campaign targeting maritime vessels has been conducted by professionals from Maritime Transport Affairs at the Ministry of Transport, as well as maritime specialists from Qatar Tourism and the Ministry of Interior's General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security. This was done to ensure that all safety measures are followed on such vessels, the ministry said in a post on social media. The officials inspected helmsmen's compliance with safety measures in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. They also inspected safety and security equipment and their availability on board and validity. The ministry said it was continuing with these inspections to ensure maritime navigation safety in Qatari waters, in addition to protecting lives and property.
