Food inspection by Doha Municipality

Doha Municipality's Health Control Section has recently carried out 4,878 inspection campaigns on various food outlets, retailers and establishments across its jurisdiction and 139 violation reports were issued according to the stipulations of law no 8 for 1990 on the regulations of human food control.The municipality issued 10 administrative decisions to shut violating food organisations. Further, 214 food samples were taken from the local market and sent to the central laboratories to ensure the validity of food on display. Such intensive inspection efforts cover all the areas of Doha and the Industrial Area, with special focus on the food packing and manufacturing companies to ensure their compliance with the food health and safety standards and regulations through following up the supply chain at its various stages.
