Qatari medical team in Gaza to the aid of wounded youth and children

Visits by the Qatari medical delegations to the Gaza Strip contribute to reducing disability and saving the lives of numerous patients.

HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani Hospital for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics in Gaza, which is funded by Qatar Fund For Development (QFFD), has announced the launch of the second phase of implanting the smart electronic upper limb prosthesis for 40 young persons and children from Gaza, in addition to conducting 50 cochlear implant surgery funded by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs.Deputy Director General of QFFD projects Sultan bin Ahmed al-Asiri affirmed the continuation of the support for a large number of projects and humanitarian interventions that achieve the vision of Qatar in alleviating the suffering of people around the globe, achieving the sustainable development for all, including its steadfast and supporting position for the Palestinian people and their rights, adding that enhancing the health aid represents a major priority for QFFD toward the most vulnerable and marginalised people to ensure that patients and people with special needs are accessing to the essential services to enjoy a better life.
Al-Asiri stated that the hospital, which has become operational for more than three years, has afforded paradigm services to thousands of patients and people with special needs from the Gaza Strip who had actually missed those services after years of suffering, hailing the hospitaltarget="_blank"'>
