Child death: Ministry decides to shut private kindergarten

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has decided to close the private kindergarten whose student Minsa Mariam Jacob died under tragic circumstances recently.In a statement on Twitter on Tuesday, the ministry said: "The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has decided to close the private kindergarten,which recently witnessed a tragic accident that shook the community with the death of one of the female students."The ministry said it took the decision after an investigation "proved the negligence of the workers, who were subjected to the most severe penalties".Minsa (4) had died after she was left alone in a locked school bus for over four hours on Sunday. "The ministry renews its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of our students in our various educational institutions," the statement added.
