US embassy gifts law books to QU library

The US embassy in Doha has gifted a collection of 70 books to Qatar University (QU) library as part of the ongoing collaboration and partnership between the library and the embassy.Public diplomacy officer Jay Men was welcomed by Asma al-Buainain, library director.During the ceremony held at the library, the US officer said the US Department of State has gifted books as part of a property grant.It was noted that this programme "is designed to foster embrace and enhance people-to-people connections and to share knowledge and resources with long-term relationships between our two great countries." The library director thanked the embassy for the books that will play an important part in enriching the the Law and Legal Studies Collection at the library. This will support the high-quality research and scientific needs of students and faculty members.After the speeches, the representatives of both the US embassy and QU visited and toured the display of books and reference titles.
