A new resort featuring 15 luxury villas and exquisite features will come up on Katara Hills, it has been announced.
An agreement was signed between Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation and Estithmar Holding on Sunday to launch the project, named Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts. The agreement was inked by Prof Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara, and Henrik H Christiansen, Group CEO of Estithmar Holding, in the presence of Ramez al-Khayyat, vice-chairman of Estithmar Holding, during a press conference held at Katara Hall 32. Details of the project were shared during the event.
The Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts project includes 15 luxury villas, each with a private swimming pool and occupying a prime location on Katara Hills. It will offer guests distinctive and enchanting views of the surrounding greenery, nature and Katara Beach. The villas will have exquisite interior design and decor, making them highly attractive for tourists and visitors. The project will provide an opportunity to enjoy a quiet stay amid the vast green areas along the Katara Hills, in addition to offering luxurious elements such as a spa, a luxury restaurant, and skilled staff to serve the guests.
In his address, Prof Dr al-Sulaiti said the project is integrated with Katara's other sustainable cultural and tourism projects. It is considered one of the advanced tourism projects that keeps pace with the massive achievements witnessed in the country and is in line the tireless efforts made to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He stressed that the new project will give Katara's visitors a luxurious hospitality facility that is in harmony with the green surroundings of Katara Hills. Besides, it will give guests the opportunity to enjoy the various cultural, artistic, heritage and sports activities hosted by Katara all year long, thus promoting the concept of sustainable cultural tourism. Through this, it will contribute towards further enhancing tourism development in Qatar, he added.Meanwhile, Christiansen expressed happiness at taking part in the new project, which will further boost the touristic scene in Qatar. He said while Qatar "is witnessing a great transformation to become an international tourist destination with the hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, we can build a sustainable and permanent legacy for the future through such partnerships".
The Katara Hills LXR Hotels and Resorts project is distinguished by its design that blends the beautiful landscapes of Katara and modern architecture, he added.
