Qatar University President HE Dr Hassan bin Rashid al-Derham said that the university has continued its progress in the international rankings of universities during the past two years thanks to the excellence in performance at various levels, and the provision of a distinct environment that stimulates innovation and creativity in teaching, learning, research and science.He said in a speech during the induction meeting — 'Ya-Hala' — for new faculty members, which was held Wednesday, that the university has made excellence a goal, a way of life and a way of working.

This was one of the reasons for its rise to advanced positions in the world rankings of universities, and in its management of the difficult crises that the world has experienced during the past two years.He added that the university was able to implement various programmes and quickly adapt to the social distancing conditions imposed by the pandemic.This is a result of the advanced infrastructure and academic environment that stimulate creativity, research, teaching and learning, and provide all forms of financial, moral, research and technical support.
