32 tonnes of expired food products seized

Al Wakra Municipality's Health Control Section in co-operation with the general cleanness department has carried out a number of inspection campaigns on the various food outlets and retailers at Berkat Al Awamir. As a result, 32 tonnes of expired food products were seized and destroyed from nine establishments, including one unlicensed establishment. The food products were stored in improper conditions in violation of the stipulations.
