MES event showcases musical, acting talents

As part of its efforts to promote students' latent talents, MES Indian School organised the Musical and Acting Talents Ride (MATR-2022) on June 26 in the Conference Hall of the school. Hameeda Kadar, principal of MES Indian School, was the chief guest.The principal, in her inaugural address, encouraged students to participate actively in all the competitions as they contribute significantly to the holistic development of students, which is one of the major objectives of the school.

Srinanda Rajesh, cultural secretary-Girls, presented the welcome address. MATR-2022 provided an opportunity for the students to display their talent in music and theatrical skills. The students from all three categories - Junior, Intermediate and Senior - performed impressively covering various items, including Mappilappattu, light music, film music, and western and classical music. The finalists were selected by a panel of judges.The valedictory function was held on June 27. Sarang U won the first prize in the film song category while Mohamed Hasbin won first place in the Junior category. In the western music segment, David Ninan John and Vishnu Vinod Krishnan from the senior and intermediate categories, respectively, bagged the first prize, while Aravind C A and Gautam Jinesh from the intermediate and junior categories stood first in light music.
