Rastec Real Estate Division launches new venture

Rastec Real Estate Division is diversifying into a new segment. It plans to build, own and operate their own building with 62 fully furnished executive bachelor suites and commercial space at Umm Salal, a statement said on Wednesday.

"The project, to provide a comfortable and convenient stay for executive bachelors at an affordable rent, is expected to be completed in a year and the construction is under progress," it was explained.At the ground breaking ceremony, Rastec Group managing director Abdul Hameed K C laid the foundation stone. This is the pilot project of K C Brothers - Hanad Ali K C (project engineer-cum-director) and Asad Mohammed K C (director – marketing). They expect an increase in demand for accommodation in all cities across Qatar and plan to rapidly expand their real estate portfolio."In future they have plans to include free hold residential projects which would be affordable for the middle class expats," the statement said.Ras Trading & Services Co., known as Rastec Group, has been successfully operating in Qatar for more than two decades. The group consists of : Rastec Consultancy Division, for ISO and other related certifications; Rastec Chemical Division for industrial chemical cleaning services at offshore and onshore locations; Rastec Trading Division, dealing in oil, gas and marine supplies, with a showroom at Barwa Village; Rastec Hospitality Division which supplies materials and offers maintenance to the hotel sector; Rastec Metal Division which buys project surplus materials and scrap; and Rastec Real Estate Division which rents out thousands of units including villas, apartments, commercial space and is now venturing into the construction sector.
