New signalised intersection to open on Friday

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced the June 24 opening of a new signalised intersection on Al Markhiya Street to link Al Taif Street and Environment Street.

This will be done in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.The new junction will provide a direct connection between Madinat Khalifa North and the Umm Lekhba area, bypassing Dahl Al Hamam Intersection, which will alleviate traffic pressure in the surroundings, Ashghal has said in a tweet.
