Latest Qatar Covid data shows increase in cases, recoveries over previous week

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has reported, in its weekly Covid-19 report for the May 30-June 5 period, a daily average of 223 cases among the community and 23 among travellers.This marked an increase over the weekly data published earlier for the May 23-29 period, when a daily average of 159 coronavirus (Covid-19) cases among the community and 19 among travellers were reported.Recoveries also increased during the same period, up from a daily average of 132 to 176.Following are the highlights of the weekly report published by the ministry on Monday, for the May 30-June 5 period:

Vaccination ** Daily average Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in the last seven days: 3,315 ** Total number of booster doses administered to date: 1,63,6487 ** Total number of Covid-19 vaccine doses administered since the start of vaccination campaign: 6,906,859

 Covid-19 testing ** Daily average number of tests for the last seven days: 14,181 ** Total number of people tested to date: 3,564,556* Hospital acute care ** Daily average of acute hospital admissions for the last seven days: 4 ** Total number of people currently under acute hospital care: 27

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ** Daily average number of ICU admissions in the last seven days: 0 ** Total number of people currently in the ICU: 0
