The Institution of Engineers (India) Qatar Chapter (IEI QC), organised a seminar on 'Additive Manufacturing: Shaping the Future of Industry and Smart Cities' and formed the IEI NextGEN Engineers Forum.IEI QC honorary chairman Abdul Sathar presided.The IEI NextGEN Engineers Forum aims to create a dynamic platform for young and emerging engineers to connect, learn, and lead in the evolving fields of science, technology, and engineering.Chief guest Dr Rafal al-Mufti, dean of College of Engineering, Oryx University, inaugurated the event.He lauded IEI's contributions to various engineering disciplines and the bilateral relations between India and Qatar as well.Dr Nooruddin Ansari, Professor, Oryx University, in his keynote address, explained various technological developments in additive manufacturing.Guest of honour and Qatar Energy senior engineer Khalid Fakhroo stated that the intersection of AI with human thought is revolutionising every sector and pushing humanity forward to a new level.The event provided a platform for networking and knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration among professionals, academics, and industry stakeholders.Honorary secretary Abdul Zameer Saab welcomed the gathering and honorary treasurer Ashik K proposed a vote of thanks.
