Egyptian President, Iraqi Prime Minister affirm rejection of infringing on Qatar's sovereignty

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, in a phone call today, expressed their full condemnation of the Israeli attack on the State of Qatar and voiced solidarity with Doha.They rejected any infringement on the State of Qatar's sovereignty or attempts to destabilize it, describing the assault as a blatant violation of international law and the UN Charter.According to a statement from the Egyptian presidency, the two leaders also discussed regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza. They stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid, and a firm rejection of any attempt to displace Palestinians from their land.During the call, President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt's ongoing efforts and communications aimed at encouraging the parties involved in the Iranian nuclear issue to resume negotiations. He noted that these efforts had resulted in an agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, mediated by Egypt, to restart cooperation, reflecting Egypt's commitment to easing regional tensions and promoting constructive dialogue toward a peaceful settlement of this critical issue.
