Katara, the Cultural Village Foundation, announced on Monday the timing and destinations of the fifth Fath Al Khair cruise under the leadership of Captain Mohamed al-Sada, QNA reported.Katara said that the cruise will start on July 1 and will include nine ports in three European countries overlooking the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, starting from the port of the island of Malta, heading towards Sicily, Rome and Genoa in Italy, and then towards Monaco, Nice, Cannes and Marseille in France, to reach its last stop in Barcelona, Spain.The fifth Fath Al Khair cruise comes within the framework of Katara's continuous efforts for cultural exchange between Qatar and the Arab Gulf region on one hand, and the Mediterranean countries on the other, in order to raise awareness on the Qatari heritage — especially the maritime culture, as a bridge of communication between people.The cruise also aims to promote the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Doha's preparations to host this championship to the audience from European countries, as well as the huge sports facilities and enormous World Cup stadiums that Qatar has built for this exceptional global championship.In a statement yesterday, captain of the fifth Fath Al Khair cruise Mohamed al-Sada said the cruise will start in July, after the completion of maintenance work and the provision of all equipment and supplies.
