As part of its ongoing support for the Syrian people, Qatar today sent a new batch of medical and humanitarian aid of medical equipment and supplies, worth over QR45mn — provided through the Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS).The Qatari aid, as part of its "Take Heart Syria" initiative, was delivered by two Qatar Armed Forces aircraft, carrying 12 tonnes of medical and humanitarian supplies to be distributed to beneficiaries in co-ordination with the Syrian Ministry of Health and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.On Aug 28, 22 aid trucks departed from Doha in three batches. The convoys travelled through Saudi Arabia and Jordan, ending in Syria, with 78 tonnes of aid. So far Qatar has sent 90 tonnes of aid.The aid distribution will cover all Syrian regions, sending a clear message that Qatar is committed to ensuring its humanitarian aid reaches all Syrians without exception.
