Medical sources in Gaza Strip reported on Saturday that 10 Palestinians, including three children, died from starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, according to records from the Strip's hospitals.The same sources stated that the total number of victims of starvation and malnutrition has risen to 332, including 124 children.They added that since the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) declared famine in Gaza Strip on August 22, 54 deaths have been recorded, including nine children, due to starvation.The international food insecurity classification, in which the United Nations participates, confirmed the occurrence of famine in Gaza Governorate and projected its spread to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis governorates by the end of September.The IPC warned that more than half a million people in Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions - classified as Phase 5 - which is characterized by extreme hunger, death, destitution, and critically high levels of acute malnutrition.
