QM opens printed nostalgia exhibition at fire station: Artist in Residence

Qatar Museums (QM) inaugurated the Printed Nostalgia exhibition this evening at Gallery 4 in the Fire Station: Artist in Residence. This captivating group show features printed artworks created by 99 artists from Qatar and around the world.Running until Sep. 1, the exhibition showcases artistic explorations of memory, identity, and nostalgia. The featured works span diverse media including digital illustration, photography, painting, collage, and written word, offering reflections on architecture, culture, migration, and everyday life.Among the participating artists are Abdullah Al Obaidly, Agustina Mucci, Ahmed SharafAldeen, Alreem K. Alemadi, Chafic Tony Najem, Federico Lepe, Jo-Anne Malan, Layan Waleed, Mai Eraky, Mohamed Louanjli, Mubarak Al-Thani, Omar Al Sarayra, and Sakna Hassan, each contributing unique cultural perspectives.Selected from an open international call that received 322 submissions, the exhibition was curated jointly by Saeeda Al Khelaifi and Fatima Al Zaini. A dedicated reflection space invites visitors to engage with their own memories and personal experiences of nostalgia.
