The ambassador of the Czech Republic to Qatar Petr Chalupecky has presented an honorary certificate to Alkhalid Hamid Khalid Aalbalushi, a talented participant from the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities, in recognition of his outstanding achievement at the 52nd International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice.Alkhalid received an honorable mention for his exceptional artwork, highlighting the creativity and skill of young artists with disabilities. The presentation took place at the Shafallah Center, where the envoy celebrated Alkhalid’s contribution to the prestigious international competition, held in the Czech Republic under the theme "Caravans" for 2024. The event was organised by ICEFA Lidice in collaboration with Unesco.The Lidice competition, established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims of war, has become a significant cultural event that showcases the artistic talents of children from around the globe. The Czech Republic, through this competition, emphasizes the importance of art as a means of expression and cultural exchange, as well as reaffirming the strong cultural ties between Qatar and the Czech Republic, a statement added.
