The Ministry of Labour (MoL) on Saturday held an awareness workshop for community leaders to outline occupational safety and health guidelines at worksites and accommodation during the summer months, aiming to prevent heat-stress risks.Representatives from the MoL's Occupational Safety and Health Department, together with a delegate from the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers, provided community leaders with a comprehensive set of advice and guidance.Topics included recognizing the symptoms of heat stress, measures to prevent heatstroke, and the importance of supplying adequate protective measures.Through this series of workshops and seminars held year-round, MoL seeks to reinforce a culture of safety and health among workers, employees and employers, promote healthy behaviours, and sustain a safe, healthy working environment for all.
