Qatar Post has successfully delivered textbooks to over 4,300 Qatar University students in the Fall-2021 semester. In a statement on Sunday, Qatar Post said that the delivery service was launched on August 15 in parallel with the university’s Fall semester and with the shift towards blended learning as part of precautionary measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.
Pursuant to this, the university has announced the launch of the online self-service system which allows students to request textbooks directly through a 24/7 online portal. To request the Textbooks Delivery Service, students can use their self-service account. Thanks to an API integration order management systems of the university and Qatar Post, orders are received and managed by the university’s textbooks section. The textbooks staff are responsible for handling all requests, from receiving the orders, picking and packing the books and reviewing all orders. Qatar Post then collects all consignments and proceeds to schedule a delivery date and time within 3-5 working days. Unsuccessful deliveries are kept at Qatar Post’s branches for a week where students can pick them up personally.
