Qatar Charity opens family medicine centre in Kosovo

Qatar Charity (QC) recently opened a family medicine centre in the municipality of Ferizaj, Kosovo, to benefit more than 10,000 people there and in neighbouring areas.
The inauguration of the centre took place in a ceremony attended by Ali bin Hamad al-Marri, ambassador of Qatar to Albania and Kosovo; Agim Aliu, mayor of Ferizaj; and Abdul Aziz Jassim Hajji, director of the Customer Service Department and acting director of the Marketing and Digital Growth Department at Qatar Charity, in addition to many prominent social figures of the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Aliu expressed happiness at the opening of the centre, which will provide integrated health services to the people of the area. He praised the support of the Qatari people for this distinguished project and also appreciated the role of QC in the implementation of distinct and qualitative projects in the municipality of Ferizaj, and hoped for the continued implementation of such projects.
Ambassador al-Marri expressed satisfaction at the continuation of constructive co-operation between the competent authorities in Kosovo and Qatari organisations at the official and humanitarian levels, which strengthens the relationship between the two brotherly peoples.Hajji expressed happiness at his participation in the opening of the centre, which provides distinguished services to some six villages and serves more than 7,000 people, indicating that it has a service capacity for more than 10,000 people. He added that the centre is one of the many projects implemented by Qatar Charity in Kosovo, and comes within the framework of its attention towards providing health services to the poor and low-income people.The centre, which is equipped with the latest medical equipment necessary for family medicine, includes a number of specialised departments and clinics, such as the family health department, the surgery, dental and emergency clinics, the laboratory and the pharmacy, in addition to waiting rooms, doctors' rooms, administrative offices, a reception hall and other service facilities.Qatar Charitytarget="_blank"'>
