Qatar participates in GCC Tax Departments meet

The State of Qatar, represented by the General Tax Authority (GTA), participated in the 14th meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which was held in the State of Kuwait.HE the Chairman of the GTA, Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari led the Qatari delegation to the meeting.The meeting's aim is to enhance the efficiency of tax systems in the GCC countries and highlight the best tax practices applied in the member states, by combating tax evasion and building a Gulf tax system characterized by tax compliance and transparency.The participation of the General Tax Authority in this meeting reflects the State of Qatar's commitment to regional tax cooperation and the exchange of expertise and knowledge with sister countries, which contributes to economic and financial integration among the GCC countries.
